5 things to know about Jeff Dean's new startup

Jeff Dean, Google's chief scientist, has left to found Discovery Loop, an AI startup aiming to automate scientific and engineering experiments to accelerate discovery. The company plans to tackle major scientific challenges by enabling parallel execution of thousands of experiments. Discovery Loop's initial funding comes from Radical Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and other prominent Silicon Valley investors.
