Alibaba.com announced that its AI agent platform Accio completed 107 e-commerce tasks at over 50% lower estimated cost than OpenAI's Codex and Anthropic's Claude Code, while maintaining comparable quality. Accio's efficiency stems from commerce-specific data, workflow optimization, and a multi-model approach balancing cost and performance. The company also open-sourced the Commerce Agent Bench benchmark used for evaluation.
