Architect of UK’s AI strategy joins Anthropic amid conflict of interest warning

Matt Clifford, former architect of the UK government's AI strategy, has joined US AI startup Anthropic as managing director for international affairs, leading its global government engagements. Clifford will retain chair roles at the UK's Advanced Research and Invention Agency and Entrepreneurs First.
