West Northamptonshire Council and North Northamptonshire Council plan to use AI technologies to address budget shortfalls of £24m and £13.6m respectively for 2027/28. AI is being applied in adult social care to improve efficiency and reduce staff workload amid rising costs. Concerns about accuracy and suitability for vulnerable adults have been raised by charity representatives.
