Delaware wants to give AI agents their own legal identity

Delaware proposes the Artificial Intelligence Company (AIC), a legal entity run autonomously by AI agents, allowing them to own property, sign contracts, and face lawsuits within a regulated sandbox environment. The AIC requires a human or corporate member to fund it, with protections and oversight to prevent misuse, and the initiative is set to expire after 30 months.
