FBI agent accused of stealing $1 million in crypto — and he even consulted ChatGPT on how to leave the country

Patrick Steven Yaroch, a former FBI counterintelligence supervisor, is accused of stealing about $1 million in cryptocurrency from wallets linked to a foreign adversary without hacking. He used ChatGPT to seek advice on investing the stolen funds and obtaining EU residency. Yaroch later self-reported the theft to authorities and expressed remorse.
