Flock planned to expand its surveillance network by using AI-powered dashcams in Uber and Lyft vehicles to scan license plates, effectively turning rideshare drivers into mobile surveillance units. This partnership with Nexar would have added 350,000 vehicles to Flock's network, raising significant privacy concerns. Although the deal did not proceed, Flock has not ruled out similar future collaborations.
