Google's SynthID watermark is hard to break, but it doesn't solve AI disinformation

Google's SynthID watermarking technology is designed to robustly label AI-generated images and videos, surviving edits and compression to help identify AI content. Despite its durability, SynthID alone does not fully address the broader challenge of AI disinformation online.
