IBM cuts full-year sales outlook after mainframe demand drops 42 percent in Q2

IBM lowered its full-year revenue growth forecast to 4-5% after mainframe Z system sales dropped 42% in Q2. Software sales growth guidance was also reduced to 6-8%, attributed to weakness in infrastructure and associated software. The company plans cost-saving measures and expects stable headcount for the year.
