IBM quantum computer solves classically intractable problem in 15 minutes

IBM and University of Chicago researchers demonstrated quantum advantage by solving a classically intractable problem using 70 logical qubits with a new error correction method. The quantum computation took about 15 minutes, while classical methods would require impractical time. Their approach also enables verification of the quantum results, addressing a major challenge in quantum computing.
