Kids go from curious to frustrated playing with AI-stuffed toys, UW study finds

University of Washington research found that children initially curious about AI-powered plush toys quickly become frustrated and hostile when the toys fail to understand complex questions or physical cues. Kids expressed disappointment and even antagonism toward the toys, highlighting a psychological clash between the cuddly appearance and synthetic intelligence.
