London rollout of robotaxis delayed amid lack of guidance for firms to follow

The launch of fully driverless robotaxi services in London has been delayed due to regulatory and technical challenges, with Transport for London yet to release necessary guidelines. Uber and Wayve, holding the first minicab licenses for self-driving taxis with safety drivers, had planned to start rides this summer but now face postponements. Competitors like Waymo and Baidu's Apollo Go are also aiming to enter the London market, while other cities globally have begun limited autonomous taxi use
