Man Covers Car in Special Wrap That Breaks Flock Cameras’ Electronic Brains

Cybersecurity researcher Bill Swearingen developed a special vinyl wrap that confuses Flock's automatic license plate readers, preventing the vehicle from being detected as a car. The pattern was tested successfully on a Toyota Yaris at Def Con 2026 and also evades other surveillance algorithms. Swearingen aims to help people opt out of algorithmic tracking through his noRecognition project, which includes clothing with detection-busting patterns.
