Nvidia is reportedly negotiating to guarantee $250bn in financing for OpenAI's new data center project in Ohio, enabling OpenAI to secure funding without an investment-grade credit rating. This guarantee would not involve upfront cash but would back OpenAI's debt obligations, potentially extending Nvidia's stake in OpenAI's infrastructure and chip demand. The total project cost could exceed $500bn, including additional financing for chip purchases.
