Sonos loses a decade of design talent as layoffs hit its top ranks

Sonos has laid off several senior design, product, and research leaders with over a decade at the company, including key figures in user experience and hardware product management, as part of a restructuring aimed at increasing speed and agility. The cuts affect about 3% of staff, mainly in user-experience and product groups, despite CEO Tom Conrad stating the changes are about speed rather than cost savings or AI automation.
