Tesla’s Cybercab is finally launching, and it starts by giving its own staff a lift

Tesla is set to launch its Cybercab, a two-seat robotaxi without manual controls, on public roads in Austin starting with rides for its employees. The company has been mass-producing the vehicle since February but will initially limit rides to staff before integrating it into its robotaxi service. Despite production readiness, Tesla's autonomous driving software still trails competitors like Waymo in driverless miles and operational scale.
