The House Intelligence Committee released a 56-page review of the 9/11 Commission report ahead of the 25th anniversary, dedicating about 10% to AI-related threats. The report warns that AI could enable terrorists to conduct more destructive attacks, including bioweapons development, and stresses the need for the US to rapidly advance its own AI capabilities to maintain security.
