The major labels propose rules to keep AI slop off the charts

Universal Music Group, Sony Music, and Warner Music Group have proposed rules to exclude AI-generated songs from music charts unless they are 'substantially human made' and meet specific legal and ethical criteria. The proposal also requires clear labeling of AI involvement and adherence to AI service terms and copyright laws. The IFPI supports this proposal, though chart organizations have not yet adopted these rules.
