UK digital infrastructure investment hit £11.2bn in 2025

The UK Office for National Statistics revised its measurement of digital infrastructure investment in 2025 to include data centres, hardware, software, and spectrum permits, raising the total to £11.2bn, nearly triple the previous figure. Despite this reclassification, actual investment fell by 4% from 2024 but remains significantly higher than pre-pandemic levels, with data centres and software driving growth.
